Overall, excellent game.

Mood is whimsical and lighthearted, but still has mysterious/dark elements and moments. Very beautiful settings, great use of depth in 2D; though you never *quite* forget its a sidescroller. (How can you? Its a fundamental fact of the gameplay.) Strong voice acting, too.

Personally, Id like the plot to be a bit thicker from the get-go. Also, Id prefer an all-keyboard control system; better yet, an ability to actually set the controls to my own liking.

Overall, excellent game.
