I bought this app but I discover that I am stuck on the first level because it is impossible to properly use the commands on the Mac keyboard and mouse!! :(

One of the best games on my Mac. XBox Controller works like a charm,catching story, very good graphics, nice sound…what else do one need for entertainment? Please, please, please Trine 3!!!!!

Ok.. so this game IS extremely fun to play no lies there.. however this game has; crashed, puzzle locked, and a couple of glitches from basically "sea castle" or whatever its called. If you remember to do an actual SAVE right before you enter any new area then when it crashes it will allow you to start directly from that spot. However, if you forget…….. Then it was make you play through the entire chapter you JUST played though before you can try to enter the next area (hopefully glitch/crash free) All-IN-All: I would like to give this game a great review but these problems are very very glaring and annoying…. Sorry Frozenbyte.

AND SO THERE IS MY RE-POST I. LOVE. IT. Yes, there are some crash, and they ARE annoying. Yet, this wont make the game worse or scrap it all... In fact, what I mainly liked from the first, it was that I liked to do, re-do and re-do again and again and again all the levels, and its actually THE SAME in THIS one. LIKE I SAID SOONER, NOW I WOULD GIVE IT 3254352 stars, not only 5. This game is soooo beatiful! If you want to play a nice role-play game, there might be some better, but not with better graphics. THAT. IS. IT! :D

Somethings wrong when the graphics of a sequel are worse than that of the original…. and like the original, the platforming is still as much of a pain in the backside as it always has been, fairly difficult to contol your characters effectively, its alright, following the story well with more imaginative foes than the first.. but im still a little disappointed 2010 macbook pro, a tad laggy with settings jacked

A game that forces you to think a little (to solve puzzles) with great graphics and special effects, while the multiplayer aspect of the game makes it very fun to play with a lot of replay value. (Single player mode is also enjoyable.) And at $14.99, its a small price to pay. Runs more or less flawlessly on my Mid-2011 Mac mini with AMD graphics/8GB of RAM.

The first trine was an amazing game, which led me to wanting more. Trine 2 was the perfect follow up, with amazing graphics and due to the frequent dialogue the game was a lot more interactive than the first. This game had a great storyline including new characters and different enemys. Frozenbyte did not disappoint.

Characters footwork can look lowsy and jumping can look sloppy (OFTEN). I am suprised though, dumbfounded, I cant even run this on high without the framerate slowing down. This game has higher graphics than Starcraft 2 which can be run on high on my current computer. Beutiful game! And also in order to update I have to redownload the whole game (still keeps my data), but takes up our internet usage, we can only download so much. PLEASE FIX!!!!! P.S. The cross platform multiplayer is currently not working for me.

I think this is ultimately a great game and worth the money spent. The graphics are fantastic and the story of the game makes you chuckle from time to time. Wonderful logic puzzles incroprotated with battle is a great way to make everyone happy. I would, however, love to see the game mechanics fixed. The keys dont respond as well and precicely with the game which makes jumping onto that tricky ledge more frustrating than it needs to be. At times I just said, "nevermind!" and quit for the day. Timing is very important!

Controls are lousy compared to the PSN version and graphics do not look very good in comparison. I can see why it was on sale for 75% off. Will update my review if a software update improves graphics optimization and if I can use an analog controller with it without third party software being required.

Listen if you what a good graphics adventure game, this is perfect becouse me I bout this game when it was $3.99 and I sad let me tack a chance. I saw the pictures above^ and they looked lick a princess game so I took a chance when I played the game I was amazed. ( IT IS NOT ABOUTE CINDERELA PRINCESSIS IT IS ABOUT FIGHTING WITH GOOD GRAFICS) And goblane meanacy the levels are realy chalenging but awesome Personly BEST game I ever PLAYED! in theis year

I have a MacBook Pro thats a year and a half old with 8GB of ram and whatever… It was top of the line at the time. Its SUPER laggy! I cant play it without wanting to throw my computer across the room. Trine 1 was good, and this looks like it has the potential to be good, but I cant play it because its SOOOO SLOWWWWWWWW!!!!! So if it werent for that I may have rated it a bit better, but I cant get past the first stage.

Compared to Trine 1 this game is unplayable. It lags terribly (owing I assume to the inclusion of 3d setting in this version) making it impossible to control the player. I would much prefer that they used the same graphics as Trine 1. As it is, I just cant play it and feel like I have wasted my money.

The game is great, however don’t expect any updates. There is a bug with seting up controllers, they know about, and yet there has not been any updates or fixes since the game was first released.

I hope that this negative review will spur on the developer to fix what was a terrifc game that I would recomend to anyone who likes to have a challenge during the day. The graphics were fabulous and the game play was great. But then came along El Capitan and everything went down the tube. You can load the software but you get NO SOUND. so you loose the narated story line and the game becomes much harder. The software locks up and the only way to get out is to pull the power. Come on and release a fix

I played Trine the first part and when this sequel came out I bought it without hesitation. The gameplay has improved, graphics are even more beautiful than in Trine (which means something Trine already is a work of art). Atmosphere is incredibly dense, narration, music everything really combines to a scenario where you can indulge yourself for days. I just finished the final level of Trine 2 and am hoping for another sequel. This is one of those games that starts out as an incredibly beautiful game with a good story line, very innovative and interesting new approaches and keeps getting better with the sequels. So just buy the damn thing, you wont regret it.

Trine2 (like Trine) is a pretty platformer. This can be fairly fun, much more fun when playing with friends huddled around a TV, doesn’t work quite as well on a computer. In any case, platformers are simply out of their league compared to modern games. Compare this to any modern realtime strategy, first person shooter, role playing game, or turn based strategy, and you’ll see that it just doesn’t have the sort of content that can let it compete. This would have been a great game in the late 80s or 90s, but in 2016 it’s badly outclassed.
